| The espingole is a destroyer which was built in 1900 at Havre,with its 56 meters long , he could reach a speed of 27 knots. | ||||||||||||||
| On 4th February 1903, it struck the cliffs of the cap Taillat and runs aground. It sunk during its towing towards Cavalaire. | ||||||||||||||

An attempt to refloat it, remained unsuccessfully. The espingole rests on a bottom of sand by 39 m. The visibility is often good. The visit of the wreck is very pleasant, and the fauna is plentiful mérous, congers, dentis and shellfishes lobsters, galathées or lobsters. |
